Every year, wear it pink raises around £2 million during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The money you raise is used to fund Breast Cancer Now’s pioneering research across the UK and Ireland.
Who are Breast Cancer Now?
We’re Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s largest breast cancer charity, created by the merger of Breast Cancer Campaign and Breakthrough Breast Cancer – and we’re dedicated to funding research into this devastating disease.
Right now breast cancer is at a tipping point. More women are surviving. But more are being diagnosed than ever before. And every 45 minutes, another woman dies from the disease. We’re going to change that. By doing whatever it takes, however we can, working tirelessly every day. We’re bringing together the brightest minds, the boldest fundraisers and the most determined campaigners. And we need you to join us. Because if we all act now, by 2050, we believe everyone who develops breast cancer will live.
We want to tell you the story behind Breast Cancer Now’s new look.
Breast Cancer Now spells out our mission very clearly. It gives the message loud and clear that we must act now if we are to achieve our aim of putting an end to breast cancer by 2050.
Our research showed that pink continues to be the most widely understood signpost for breast cancer. We’ve chosen a pink which we’ve found works well with both men and women. It’s warmer and more natural than the bolder magentas of our legacy charities, Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Breast Cancer Campaign.
Why is our new logo based around a heart?
Our logo and new mark are visual representation of you, our supporters – what you mean to us, and the loved ones you’ve lost. You are the beating heart of our organisation, and together we are the now generation who will ultimately make a difference for men and women with breast cancer.
We believe that if we all act now, by 2050, everyone who develops breast cancer will live.
